| Beat Presser was born in Basel in 1952. He studied photography and cinema in Basel,
Paris and New York. In the midseventies he became the editor of the
magazines “Palm Beach News” and “The Village Cry”. In 1981 he began a
collaboration with German film director Werner Herzog. He became
assistant cameraman and still photographer on “Fitzcarraldo” and did
the stills on “Cobra Verde” and “Invincible”. He also played in
Herzog’s film on Klaus Kinski, “My dearest fiend”.Today he works as a
freelance photographer, produces photo stories, teaches photography and
exhibits his work all over the world. www.beatpresser.com |
Since 1969, Stampa Gallery in Basel has organized exhibitions of Swiss and international
contemporary art. Besides exhibitions and representation of artists,
the gallery is also engaged in organizing events such as performances,

| The project Open Broadcast initiated in 2007 and is scheduled to be active end of September 2009.
It is a new internet portal for radio production that transmits content
developed by an Open Broadcast Community. Open Broadcast is
non-commercial and dedicated to providing infrastructure for an
